The 'Cardiology' and 'Cardiovascular Surgery' departments provide 24-hour service... The mission of the Cardiovascular Surgery (CVS) Intensive Care Unit is to continuously monitor and support the vital functions of patients who have undergone or will undergo cardiovascular surgery.
In the CVS Intensive Care Unit, continuous monitoring and support of vital functions are provided for patients who have undergone or will undergo heart/cardiovascular surgery. The monitor continuously tracks the patient's heart rate, rhythm (with ST analysis of the EKG when needed), arterial blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, mean), blood oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, body temperature, and, when needed, ETCO2, along with hourly monitoring of bleeding and urine output, respiratory device parameters, and periodic analysis of arterial blood gases.
Medical treatment or, when needed, support with a pump (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) can be provided to patients with heart failure. State-of-the-art devices are used in cases of respiratory failure. Immediate consultation is available from our hospital's distinguished faculty and expert staff in all fields for patients requiring a multidisciplinary approach.
